Hrithik & Priyanka Escape Accidents While Shooting For Agneepath Remake

An aarti scene found Agneepath stars Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra playing with fire quite literally. While Duggu suffered minor burns shooting the scene, PC escaped unscathed but her lehenga caught fire and had to be change.
This is HR’s second accident on the sets of the Karan Johar production. He hurt his hand while breaking a coconut in an earlier scene. His accidents have proved lucky for his films in the past. We wonder if it will bring luck to this one too.
A source recounts what happened: “Hrithik was shooting the Ganapati puja scene. He was holding a big thali with several lit diyas (lamps) and doing the aarti. During one rotation, one diya toppled over, spilling hot oil on his hand, scalding it.
No one was any wiser for it until Duggu rushed to apply ice on the affected area. When the crew understood, the shoot was immediately stopped. It wasn’t a serious injury but Hrithik was in pain. He resumed shooting as soon as his pain subsided. He then joked about his injuries being lucky charms for his films.”

A New Cricket Stadium Is What Shahrukh & Juhi Are Talking About

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan, chirpy Juhi Chawla and her hubby Jai Mehta are all set to develop a cricket stadium in Porbandar, Gujarat.

Apparently, the troika has zeroed in on Mahatma Gandhi`s birthplace because Jai`s family has roots there. Interestingly, the owners Kolkata Knight Riders plan to take over the Duleep cricket ground in Porbandar to build a stadium to be named after Jai’s grandfather - Nanji Kalidas Mehta in its place.
Apart from adding strength to Gujarat`s cricket program, it will also provide training camps to KKR.
Talking to a daily, a source said, “The local district cricket association and Mehta Sports Private Limited recently inked a deal to build the Nanji Kalidas Mehta stadium at a cost of almost Rs 10 crore.”
“They have decided on a three-tiered approach. First they plan to make at least 12 pitches, then the dressing rooms and finally the stands. UK-based David Hemstock Associates will develop the outfield and dressing rooms.”

Bipasha Basu Is In To Outperform Sonam Kapoor

When ‘Players’, the Hindi remake of Hollywood hit ‘The Italian Job’ was announced, it was being looked at with keen interest that which Bollywood actress would be roped in to play the part of Charlize Theron. Reason being the heist action thriller had an all-men cast with Charlize being the sole leading lady.
While Abhishek Bachchan and Neil Nitin Mukesh were finalized for the key parts, Sonam Kapoor being announced as the chosen one led to a conclusion that hunt for a leading lady was finally over.
“There was more to it though with Bipasha Basu coming into picture as well”, says a source, “Suddenly the film became a two heroine film. Since Abbas-Mustan had clarified that Bipasha was not in the film for a cameo but instead a full fledged role, tongues started wagging around whether it would be her or Sonam who would be re-enacting the all-important part of Charlize.”
As it has been revealed now, it is an all new part which has been written for Bipasha as the makers wanted to make the film much more glamorized. So while Sonam continues to fill Charlize’s shoes, Bipasha too joins hands with all the boys and gets into an action mode.

Hrithik Roshan To Darken His Skin Tone For ‘Agneepath’

Actor Hrithik Roshan who is working on the remake of ‘Agneepath’ will be sporting a darker skin tone for his character in the film. He has done this before for the Yash Raj Film, ‘Dhoom 2’ where he played the role of an anti-hero.
Hrithik seems to be taking this role very seriously and he is leaving no stones unturned to get into the skin of the strong character he is about to play in the flick.
He is playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the classic remake, the original of which was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. ‘Agneepath’ is being filmed in Mumbai at the moment.
Amitabh Bachchan who played the iconic character in the film won many accolades for his role. It will be quiet exciting to see how the genX actor plays the part.
All are anticipating to watch Duggu in the film not just because he plays the iconic character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan but also because it is the first time filmmaker-producer Karan Johar has decided to deviate from his patent choice of casting SRK in all his films so far.

Abhishek Bachchan confessed, on a promotional event of Dum Maro Dum, that he would love to express his love to Aishwaraya by flaunting a tattoo.
Now, Ashwarya can also proudly enter the groups of Kareena and Suzzane. The only thing that is stopping Abhishek from getting a tattoo done is that he is unable to decide on the design.

Katrina Kaif’s Guitar Gesture

The shooting of Yash Raj Films’ MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN that commenced on Monday, April the 4th (as we had broken the news), finally ended late on Wednesday, April the 13th. Most of the scenes involved Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif and were filmed in the Taj Mahal premises (Mehtab Bagh), Fatehpur Sikri Shrine and also at the Agra Fort.

There was a marriage scene, a take-off on the MUGHAL-E-AZAM and last but not the least the audience participated in a concert, whereby they cheered for a guitar strumming Katrina Kaif. This was one of the last shots that were canned at the historic Agra Fort.

In fact Imran Khan’s wife Avantika too joined her hubby and the two saw the monument of love, Taj Mahal for the first time! There was also the usual controversy, whereby the local tourist organisations accused the cast and crew of violating the norms at the heritage site, but thankfully no untoward incident occurred. 

Rana Is Highly Moved With Bipasha’s Sexy Figure

He’s not alone in falling for Bipasha Basu given the fact that the actress has one of the hottest bodies in town. But, what comes as a surprise is the fact that Rana Daggubati has chosen to speak about it in the open rather than mince his words.

Rana and Bipasha’s chemistry is already being talked about because of its off-screen spill. Much is being gossiped about the two. With John almost out of Bipasha’s life, it seems Rana is making his move on this seductive actress and he is getting it right so far.

Deepika Padukone’s remixed song in the film DUM MAARO DUM, ‘Dum Maro Dum Mit Jaaye Gham’ depicts her attitude in abundance. After watching the song IndiaInk Invention got it touch with her and requested her to visit their first ever convention which took place on Sunday, 10th April 2011.

They were keen for her to attend as they consider her to be the Tattoo queen. Deepika Padukone is today’s youth icon and flaunts two beautiful tattoo personally - one of her ex-boyfriend tattoo and another beautiful anklet.

Manoj Thakur, Partner at Par Excellance Entertainment says, “Deepika Padukone’s absence was felt, especially at an event that she would have readily identified with. With her own much-written about RK tattoo at the base of her neck and the cutting-edge DUM MAARO DUM tattoo she’s seen sporting in the movie, she would have been the perfect ambassador for this tattoo expo.”

However as Deepika was shooting in London for DESI BOYZ she could not attend the convention and she forwarded the invitation to her DUM MAARO DUM team. Abhishek Bachchan, Prateik Babbar and Rohan Sippy attended the convention instead.

Ranbir Kapoor Wants To Be Part Of The Dhoom Films

Choco boy Ranbir Kapoor has expressed his desire to be part of the hit ‘Dhoom’ series. The theme of the series centres around thrill, action, bike chases, handsome thieves, smart and daring stealing plans.

After the success of ‘Dhoom’ (2004) and ‘Dhoom 2′ (2006), there has been much buzz in B-town regarding its third instalment. Actor Aamir Khan would be seen as baddie in ‘Dhoom 3′ while actors Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra would continue with their famous pair of ‘Jai’ and ‘Ali’.

“If another sequel to ‘Dhoom’ series comes after ‘Dhoom 3′ then I would love to be part of it. It is a very good franchise. Also given the fact that the script is too good, ” Ranbir said. The 28-year-old actor wants to do some action films now and build up his muscles.

“Since ‘Sawariya’ my body has been the same. I have never put on or had to lose weight anytime. For me it is difficult to build muscles because my body type is such that it loses weight easily.

“So I hope at some point of a time I get to do an action film so that I can build up my body, So that I can also look real… like if I hit the villain it should look real, ” Ranbir said. Ranbir would be seen next in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ opposite Czech-Pakistani origin model Nargis Fakri. He plays the role of rockstar Jordan.

Look, Who Is Following Sonam Kapoor ?

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and South star Rana Daggubatti met at politico Milind Deora’s marriage reception. On the first meeting Rana asked Sonam for her number. Sonam was not too keen to befriend the Daggubatti but he kept messaging her regularly after that until one day.

Every time he uses to be in Mumbai, he would ask Sonam to meet her. So one fine day when they met casually Sonam made him her brother. Ever since the actor became her brother he has stopped messaging as well as meeting. In short, they have lost touch.

So the girl is displeased over the stories of her link up with Daggubatti that are doing rounds.

For the uninitiated, they are actually family friends. Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor has starred in many movies made by his filmmaker grandfather D Ramanaidu. 

Anushka Sharma’s Impact On Ranveer Singh

Recently released Band Baaja Baraat of the famous Yash Raj brand was not only entertaining in its content, but also paved the way for a vibrant on screen compatibility. The on screen amalgam established between Ranvir and Anushka seems to hold great promises for the future.

The lively film which introduced the tall and lanky Ranveer Singh appears to have enchanted the audience with its refreshing touches in screenplay and acting. To go by the feedback of the cine goers the newly introduced Ranvir put up an amazingly matured performance. His gelling with the relatively experienced Anushka especially in the scenes depicting the bus journey has cast a magical spell on audience.

Curiously the vibes between the two is not merely an on screen prospect for they share good rapport and vibes beyond it also. In promotionals preceding and succeeding the release of BBB, the debutant was all praise for his co actor. Acknowledging the popularity and acclaim struck by their on screen pairing, Ranvir lauded the actress’s talent and generosity. While there is little to deny her talent, one wonders what could have attributed the tag of generosity to the chirpy Anushka.

Salman Khan Replaces Choreographer To Reshoot A Song

Just like buddy Aamir, Salman has also become a perfectionist of sorts. Buzz has it that the magnanimous superstar was not happy with a song that he shot for ‘Ready’. After watching the rushes of the song in question, he ordered to re-shoot the entire number.

The song ‘Pyaar Ke Naam Pe Doosre Karen Toh Raasleela Hai, Main Karoon Toh Character Dheela Hai’, that features Salman was choreographed by Raju Khan. Apparently it was Khan who insisted on having Raju as the dance instructor for the song. But when he saw the output, he was hell bent on shooting it all over again and with some other choreographer on board.

Talking to a daily, a source close to the film says, “The film Ready has worked out very well. Everybody from the cast and crew is extremely happy with it. And when you see everything after the shoot is over, there is always scope for improvement. After ‘Dabangg’, ‘Ready’ should be a case of sone pe suhaga.”

Shahrukh Khan Again Puts In More Than 100 Percent

Writer-director Rensil d’Silva isn’t going to forget the previous Saturday night in a hurry. An ad shoot with Shah Rukh Khan for a men’s innerwear brand that was meant to take three days to complete got done in one night.

A source present at Tulip Star Hotel in Juhu where the shoot took place said, “Rensil needed Shah Rukh for three days, but the actor, who is busy with the post-production of Ra. 1 took one look at Rensil’s script and said, ‘We’ll complete it on Saturday night’. The ad was action-packed and had to be shot in different locations.

It was completed in one night. ” When contacted, d’Silva said he was still in a daze. “I have shot ads with every other star in Bollywood, but this was an experience of a lifetime. His energy level are at their highest at night. ”

“The ad has a lot of action with stunts and speeding cars. Shah Rukh just breezed through it. I am editing the material now and will present it to my clients in a fortnight, ” he added. 

Salman Khan’s Bodyguard - First Look

Salman Khan, one of the biggest stars in India, is not big on the other religion of Indians, cricket. However, he sat glued to the television, during the semi final and final matches of the 2011 cricket world cup, for a very special reason.

Salman, who returns to the big screens this Eid, in the remake of a southern super hit film Bodyguard, watched the last two matches of the cricket world cup intently, as there were lots of VVIPs in the stadium, moving along with the general crowds. Salman wanted to observe how the bodyguards of these VVIPs and the SPG (Special Protection Group), a highly trained security personnel, in charge of the security for the Prime Minister and the likes of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. 

A close hand reveals, “Salman wanted to observe how they manage the VVIPs in a crowd situation, and how they move about in the crowd, and how they take care of these important people as these were the real bodyguards, and Salman wanted to make the most of the situation, by noticing them while on the job.

Rimi Sen Likes Irfan Khan A Lot

Very recently we read somewhere that actress Rimi Sen had said in an interview that she was not keen on doing multi-starrers. However, contrary to her statement, in today’s release, Rimi Sen will be seen in a multistarrer, the Anees Bazmee directed THANK YOU, featuring Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Irrfan Khan, Sonam Kapoor and of course Rimi herself. 

When we clarified the same from Rimi, the straight forward actress, without batting an eyelid, accepted that she had indeed made such a statement. She told us, “Actually most muti-starrers don’t have much role for actresses.

That is why I am not very keen on them.” So, why did she decide to do THANK YOU? And Rimi replied, “I really like Irrfan Khan, both as an actor and as a person and that’s why I wanted to act with him. Another reason is that I like the way Anees Bazmee makes his films and that’s why I chose to do THANK YOU.” About the duration of her shoot she said, “I shot for about a month. But I will not tell you about my role. It’s a surprise.”

Hrithik Roshan Bleeds On The Sets Of Agneepath

We all know that Hrithik Roshan is starring in the remake of ‘Agneepath’ –  the cult bollywood gangster acted by the magnificent Amitabh Bachchan. Produced by Dharma productions, the movie fetched the national award for the best actor to Amitabh Bachchan and best supporting actor to Mithun Da ( Mithun Chakraborty) in 1990.
The cult in his 2011 version is said to have the slick and the ‘in’ look where the B-town handsome hunk Hrithik will play the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and dreaded Kaacha Chhena wil be enacted by none other than Sanju baba who returns to his good bad ways with a punch.
While shooting for the film in Versova, Hrithik Roshan got injured.  The scene required Hrithik to break a coconut on the ground.

Hrithik’s Mind Blowing Abs In His Upcoming Film

Director Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has been creating a lot of pomp in the recent times. With its multi-starrer cast and an uncommon name, the film has managed to grab the audience attention from day one. The filmmakers have finally launched the first look (poster) of the film.
The poster features, the three male lead of the film, namely Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol. The poster tries to fill a curiosity among the viewers, by only showing a portion of the actors face and by hiding the eyes and forehead. Hrithik Roshan is seen flaunting his chiseled body, while Farhan and Abhay are donning a cool look. The pictures shows the actors on a road trip.
Apart from Farhan, Hrithik and Abhay Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara also stars Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin and Ariadna Cabrol as its female lead. The film is being produced by Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and is being directed by Zoya Akhtar. The music for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

Is Shahrukh Khan Performing At The IPL Ceremony Today ?

The fourth season of Indian Premier League just got bigger! According to sources, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is most likely to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL on Friday.
The actor is all set to inaugurate the ceremony with a rocking performance. The actor’s team Kolkata Knight Riders would be playing the first match against Chennai Super Kings on the same day.
Confirming the news, N Srinivasan of Team Chennai told a leading daily, “Yes, he`s performing at the event.” So Badshah Khan will be seen dancing on the tunes of hit hindi film numbers.
According to a source, “The actor is rehearsing in Mumbai at the moment for the big event. He will land in the city this afternoon.”
Captain of Chennai Super Kings, M S Dhoni, is looking forward to the match and joked “I simply cut my hair after the World Cup win,” he said, “But, considering the heat in Chennai, I think it`s a good decision!”
Let’s hope the opening ceremony is a cracker of an event!

The IIFA 2011 nominations were announced with film favourites – ‘Dabangg’, ‘Rajneeti’, ‘My Name is Khan’, ‘Band Baajaa Baraat’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’.
The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) will celebrate the 12th Videocon IIFA Weekend and the Micromax IIFA Awards in Toronto, Ontario, Canada this year. The three day Weekend will be held from June 23rd-25th, 2011.
Supporting the Weekend and Awards at the conference Longtime IIFA supporter, Indian Cinema super star, Hrithik Roshan addressed the media saying, “As always it is a great honour for me to come to IIFA and join in the revelry with the rest of the fraternity. After the success of the Micromax IIFA Awards in Colombo, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani will once again play hosts at the Awards in Toronto. This will be Boman’s fifth time at the Awards, while good friend and fellow-actor Riteish will co-host for the fourth time. Talking of the 12th Awards and his hosting stint, Boman Irani said, “I am honoured to host the Awards for the fifth time this year. It is always wonderful to be a part of this larger than life event and hosting is an assignment that I look forward to each year.”

Hrithik Roshan Is Thrilled With Dhoni’s Performance

Actor Hrithik Roshan was bowled over by the magnificent performance of Team India in the World Cup final against Sri Lanka and says skipper M.S. Dhoni’s winning six was the perfect end to the match.
“Last (Saturday) night, Indian team proved themselves to be the biggest heroes. They were up against one of the best teams. It’s the madness that carried them through. And the final winning six of Dhoni… I am a cinema guy so in my way I would say it was a perfect screenplay,” Hrithik told reporters at the launch of Provogue’s new Spring Summer Catalogue at Novotel Hotel here Sunday.
India defeated Sri Lanka at the ICC World Cup final by six wickets to lift the World Cup after 28 years. India had last won the cup in 1983.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha accompanied Hrithik at the launch of the catalogue. The two endorse the brand’s respective female and male lines respectively.

There Are Some Serious Issues Between Hrithik & Shahrukh

This is a known fact that Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, along with their respective spouses, have been great friends, from going on holiday together, to partying together at each others house.
Which is why it was surprising that when King Khan threw a party in honour of Hugh Jackman (who is in Mumbai attending the FIICI Frames 2011 event), he did not invite Hrithik and his lovely wife Susanne to the party.
Hrithik was terribly upset over being left out of his ‘good friends’ guest list so much so that when Hrithik and wife threw their own party, they happened to leave off SRK and Gauri from their party list!
We do wonder what happened to the once friendly foursome, and we hope they sort out their issues soon!

Shahrukh’s Latest Film Is On The Block - “Always Kabhi Kabhi”

The first look of Shah Rukh Khan’s next production is out.

Always Kabhi Kabhi stars fresh faces like Ali Fazal (last seen in 3 Idiots as Jay Lobo, who commits suicide, thanks to all the pressure), Brazilian beauty Giselle Monteiro (of Love Aaj Kal fame) and debutantes Zoa Morani (Cineyug honcho Karim Morani’s daughter) and Satyajeet Dubey in central characters.
The film has been directed by Roshan Abbas.
The supporting cast is a curious mix of actors who are known to be quite adept at tickling the funny bone — Satish Shah, Lillete Dubey, Vijay Raaz and Manoj Joshi.
The film is inspired from Abbas’ 1999 play Graffitti and is a coming-of-age story of four college friends.
Rumour has it that SRK will perform an item number in the film.
It is scheduled to release on June 17.

Many Celebrities Were In Mohali, Except Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan is passionate about cricket and always catches the action at home with friends and family. This time, however, he was extremely keen to watch the Mohali semi-finals between India and Pakistan. Junior B had even obtained 10 tickets for the match but cancelled it the last moment! Why?
Because he was eager to watch it with the public in the stands and not in an elite, cloistered corner.
The star believes that the stands are where the action is the excitement, cheering, the agony and the ecstasy and the complete emotional rollercoaster. Had it been an ordinary match, he would have tried to watch the match with the public.
But with the Mohali match being a crowded affair, security would have been difficult to provide.
Friends Sunil Shetty and Apoorva Lakhia tried to persuade him to go but he refused to change his mind and instead, watched the match at home. He gave away his tickets to a close friend.

Sonam Kapoor Impresses Akshay Kumar

Sonam Kapoor has won Akshay Kumar’s heart. After working with the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Abhay Deol, she has taken a step ahead by pairing up with Akshay Kumar.
“Sonam is very much like her mother but more so like her father,” says Akshay Kumar who has worked with Anil Kapoor in films like WELCOME and TASHAN before, “I have known her family for long. Sonam is a very family orientated young lady and extremely easy to work. She has a very big heart and shows her beautiful side to everyone. Now that’s a lovely quality to have.”
“She is a very sweet girl and has just played the most mature character of her career so far with a lot of passion,” says Akshay, “I am very proud of her for that. I can say without a doubt that when Sonam’s character cries in this film, she can really reduce you to tears.”
“Sonam is someone who is very gullible herself and I could pull her leg in seconds without her even realising. Due to that she was very true to the character that she plays in THANK YOU,” smiles Akshay, “Having said that, as long as it is for the reel life, it is fine. But when it comes to real life, she is one of those women where if a man ever hurt her, I would have to kill him. Come on, she is too nice to be hurt.”
