Though actress Priyanka Chopra is an A-Lister in Bollywood, it looks like she has been running into major problems with either her male co-stars or their wives! Priyanka Chopra is suddenly facing a tough time. Is someone trying very hard to sabotage her image or is Priyanka guilty of gambling with her own career?

It was recently reported that Priyanka was not invited for her own movie AGNEEPATH’s success party, organized by the Roshans. It is said that her proximity to SRK was the cause for Suzanne, who is BFF to Gauri Khan, for not inviting the actress. It is also said that Shahid’s relationship with Priyanka soured because of her ‘friendship’ with SRK. Zoom investigated further, that Twinkle Khanna too, stopped hubby Akshay from signing any movies with Priyanka, after a ‘link up’ rumour.

Apparently, Priyanka is already in Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan’s bad books; SaifAli Khan will not work with her because Kareena doesn’t like her. All she has now is the ‘Mamu – Bhanja’ – Aamir and Imran Khan jodi left, but question is kya voh Priyanka ke ‘Hero’ banna chahenge?

The actress who embraced the joys of momhood recently, is all hell bent to get rid of the extrapounds and chisel that body into an enviable shape, once again.

A close insider squealed to the scribe-tribe, “Lara is very keen to lose weight and has hired the services of a famous fitness trainer too. She’s following a strict diet, does a few stretches and a 45-minute workout, as well.”

Preity Zinta’s Appeal To The Fans Regarding ‘Ishq In Paris’

The bubbly Preity Zinta loved being surrounded by fans on Valentine’s Day while shooting for her debut production “Ishq In Paris”, but she requests them not to prematurely leak pictures taken on the sets.

“Busy day at work on Valentine’s but guess what … Met some wonderful fans, got tonnes of roses and had a great day at work! Ting Perfect. One humble request to all my fans … Please come and see the shoot, take as many photos you want but pls Dont put them on the internet as it leaks the look of the film and affects the movie negatively,” Preity posted on her Twitter page.

“When I am off set, I am more than happy to take photos … As long as you keep them for yourself! Otherwise I am very happy to see all you eager beavers on set  ))) Hope it is not too much for me to ask you guys??? What say you?” she added.

Preity is also acting in “Ishq In Paris”, an Indo-French production, directed by Prem Soni. 

Deepika Puts Her Reason For Quitting From ‘Race 2′

Deepika Padukone has spoken out in her defence to clarify the allegations made by ‘Race 2′ filmmaker Ramesh Taurani about her unprofessional attitude.

When asked about the controversy at an event recently, the leggy beauty said that she never intended to opt out of the film.

“I have tremendous respect for Rameshji and that was never my intention,” she said.

“I felt very bad when I was opting out of the film, but I didn’t have any other option. The film has been delayed by one-and-a-half year and I have adjusted my dates all this time.

“I would still do it but now those dates are committed to other films. I wasted four months last year that I had kept aside for this film, but now I cannot adjust anymore,” she added.

Anushka Sharma To Star With Aamir In ‘Peekay’

Actress Anushka Sharma who is fondly known as Yash Raj Films camp’s favourite girl will be apparently signing Raj Kumar Hirani’s next directorial venture PEEKAY. According to the media reports, Anushka Sharma and Hirani had a couple of meetings probably regarding the film.

Speculations are also doing the rounds that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan will be playing the male lead in PEEKAY.

Initially, there was also a buzz about the filmmaker signing actor Ranbir Kapoor for the role as Aamir was committed to other films and had no dates.

Case Filed Against Deepika Padukone For Exiting From Race 2

Producer Ramesh Taurani filed a case against actress Deepika Padukone with Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) and Association of Motion Pictures & TVProgramme Producer of India (AMPTPP) for her last minute exit from Tips’ ambitious thriller RACE 2.

Deepika’s exit from the film after having shot for a week upon being offered a Hollywood project hasn’t gone down well with the producer who on Thursday filed a complaint. CINTAA was quick to inform the actress about the complaint filed in her name by the filmmaker.

Ramesh Taurani says, “I have been a part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years. I have made several blockbusters. But I have never faced a situation like this before. Our directors and the other actors are extremely annoyed with her.”

As per procedural norms if an artist fails to respond to a complaint or grievance,the case then passes onto the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). If still not addressed, the artist is then liable to face a Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD).

Senior producer Pahlaj Nihalani explains, “If Taurani has filed a complaint against Deepika, she will have to honour the dates which she had allotted to him. If she has given the same dates to any other producer, she cannot shoot for the other project.”

Produced by Tips, the action thriller RACE 2 is scheduled for a November release.

Piggy Chops Sizzles At Berlinale

Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival’s premiere of DON 2 all by herself sans a male escort to match her ‘leading lady status’. She was in a translucent sari strewn with zardozi trinkets and a border to match, providing the winter-struck Berliners a warm glimpse of her well-chiseled physical assets. She also wore a wide smile, signed autographs, and performed all her duties with as much enthusiasm she could muster in her awkward circumstances. What she could not hide was the fact she was ill at ease and a bit out of place and lonely.

No lead actress of a film would have felt so ignored at a red carpet event ever. She was almost being shunned and shunted, for whatever reasons. She was not even seen in the post-screening party of the film that was briefly attended by Shahrukh Khan. The only occasion she was seen with her hero was when she went on stage after the film’s screening. She rarely moved her legs when the King made others perform some signature DON 2 moves. SRK did not even insist on her doing so.

The absence of Shahrukh Khan at the DON 2 press conference had turned it into a non-event thus denying Priyanka a chance to share the Berlin limelight with the badshah of Bollywood. Berlin does not seem to suit our Ms. World. Last year her film 7 KHOON MAAF was in the Berlinale panorama. She could not make it to the screening that time reportedly because she was not asked by Vishal Bhardwaj to join him. Bhardwaj made a brief appearance during the screening and disappeared. The media largely ignored the film’s screening then.

The Dirty Picture Is Getting Huge Responses All Over

The much awaited movie of the year THE DIRTY PICTURE hit thesilver screen on Friday and has already gained tremendous response from the audience.

In Mumbai the film released in packed houses and in Kolkata also the fans were quite excited to see Vidya Balan playing Southern siren Silk Smitha.

Balaji Telefilms’ THE DIRTY PICTURE(Hindi) released in 1066 UFO digital theatres on Friday.

The Vidya Balan starrer is this week’s biggest release on the UFO Moviez network, with the Hindi version in 996 UFO digital theatres, the Telugu version in 43 UFO digital theatres and the Tamil version in 27 UFO digital theatres.

Meanwhile, the world of Twitter is abuzz with comments made by Vidya’s fans who have mostly appreciated her performance in the film.

Super film!!! Rajat’s brilliant dialogue…milan’s nuanced and superb control over the plot…dirtypicture rules.”

“Ah, the dirty picture! bold. vidya balan was super, not easy at all to do what she has. didn’t think india would produce a film like this,” popular cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle remarked.

“Saw Dirty Picture. Fabulous,” writer Chetan Bhagat described his feelings through a crispy tweet.

Directed by Milan Luthria, the moves features Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in the lead roles.

Mallika Sherawat & Vivek Oberoi In KLPD

Its official, Mallika Sherawat has been signed opposite Vivek Oberoi in Amit Chandrra’s KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD). Incidentally the film has been in the headlines off late as it was taken to be the sequel to the Director Sanjay Khanduri’s 2007 sleeper hit EK CHALLIS KI LAST LOCAL, with the name GYARAH CHALLIS KI LAST METRO doing the rounds. However the most interesting facet of the development of this film is the signing of Mallika Sherawat.

The source also goes onto add that when Sanjay and Amit approached Mallika with the script of KLPD that had the actress playing a parallel lead to the actor, Mallika readily agreed to do the film as she felt the role was too good to let go off and was excited to play a content driven lead, which she hasn’t done ever since PYAR KE SIDE EFFECTS, in which her performance was highly appreciated.

Mallika is to play a Delhi based Punjabi bombshell who gets caught in a adventurous journey when she misses the last Metro home. Mallika would soon be back to Mumbai as the film goes on floors. On touching base with Amit Chandrra the producer of the film he stated that the film is called KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI (KLPD) and the film is not a sequel to EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL but a new story. The only similarity between the two films is that they are comical thrillers. The filmhas three elements Kismat, Love and Paisa coming together in one crazy fun night in Delhi, hence the title KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI was apt.

Tia Bajpai : The Haunted Girl Is Thankful To Vikram Bhatt

From HAUNTED, newcomer Tia Bajpai has moved on to another film LANKA where she is playing a tormented character. To enact two tough roles at the verybeginning of her career was a tough call for Tia and if she has managed to get it right without many hiccups, she has her mentor Vikram Bhatt to thank.

‘I am lucky that I worked with someone like Vikram sir in my first film,’ Tia sounds delighted here, ‘That experience is coming in handy for all the work that I am doing now. It has become far better for me to understand the nuances better.’
However, since it was director Maqbool Khan and not Vikram Bhatt calling the shots for LANKA (Vikram is basically presenting the film), didn’t she miss her mentor’s presence on the sets?

”Since Maqbool anyways knew the script inside out, I didn’t feel like reaching out to anyone else for help or guidance. Also, the best part about Sir is that he doesn’t interfere,’ she says, ‘He gave Maqbool full freedom to make the film in the way he wanted and never came up with this command that ‘See, I am Vikram Bhatt so listen to me’. That really worked for everyone involved.”

As is a known fact, this modern day tale has Manoj Bajpai playing Raavan while Arjan Bajwa is enacting the part of Vibhishan. Even though the makers claim that they have taken reference from a real life incident, can one really ignore the religious element to the story?

”See, in any case none of us are named after any of the mythological characters; the only pointer here is Lanka and that basically is an indicative of the empire that Manoj’s character has built in Bijnor,’ says Tia, ‘I don’t see why anyone’s religious sentiments should be hurt.”
