This is serious news for all you Madhuri Dixit fans. No less than 5.6 per cent of homes with cable and satellite television watched dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on day one.

This was head and shoulders above Kaun Banega Crorepati, anchored by Amitabh Bachchan, which opened with a viewership of 4 per cent on the channel, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Zor Ka Jhatka on NDTV Imagine managed just 2.6 per cent viewership.

For years, there has been an unwritten rule in showbiz that married actresses, especially those with children, don’t sell. Dixit, now in her 40s, married a US-based doctor some years ago and bid adieu to the entertainment industry - but the industry does not seem ready to let go of her so easily. 

“I am glad people still think of me so highly and are willing to work with me,” she says.

It was important for her to take a clean break from her guy.”

It seems that Shahid has to work out hard and harder, if he wants his lady love back in life.

Katrina Kaif Is Not Bothered With Her Rumours With Ranbir Kapoor

The most stunning looking actress Katrina Kaif, who is currently in the news for her alleged romance and break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, says it is just a rumour.

“These kinds of talks are just rumours. They are a part and parcel of the industry. One just has to smile and concentrate on work,” Katrina told reporters.

When asked if she was ever dating Ranbir, Katrina said, “I have never commented on my personal life. And will not do so now.” The rumours of a romance started when the actors worked together in Rajkumar Santoshi`s `Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani`.

Shahrukh Khan Misses Lara Dutta’s Wedding For 1.5 Crores

Shah Rukh Khan chose to attend Vivek Biyani’s wedding reception on Saturday, giving his Don 2 co-star Lara Dutta’s Goa wedding a miss.
Vivek Biyani, for those who don’t know, is the nephew of entrepreneur Kishore Biyani, who introduced Big Bazaar, Pantaloons and Central chain of shops. Vivek wed Tanushree Dhoot (whose family owns the Videocon group).
The reception took place at Turf Club at Mahalaxmi, South Mumbai. Apparently, SRK danced at the couple’s sangeet party on Friday, for a whooping    1.5 crore.
After the wedding, SRK took a private chopper to Malaysia, for the Don 2 shooting. His long hair is reportedly his look in the film as reported.

Is Salman Khan Guilty For Zarine Khan’s Flop Career ?

Zarine Khan is one lucky gal. Even after delivering a dud in her debut performance in Anil Sharma’s ‘Veer’, the actress is being offered cameos in films! And why not? When you are Salman Khan’s protégé, you are bound to go places.
If sources are to be believed, recently Salman pulled some strings, convincing director Anees Bazmee to bring Zarine on board, for a small appearance in Ready. Zarine, accompanied by actor turned producer, Arbaaz Khan, flew down to Bangkok, last week to shoot the cameo with Salman, in Pattaya.
Bazmee confirmed to a leading daily, “It’s a small scene. We needed Arbaaz and Zarine. Salman’s equation with them made it easy for us to get them to agree to do the scene.”
A source said, “Salman felt Zarine is being left behind for no fault of hers.
Salman somehow feels responsible for Zarine’s career not taking off. He is trying to get her into his new projects.”

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala confirmed the news and told the tabloid, “Yes it is. The film will be shot at places like Italy and Greece and such costumes are necessary for this script.”
Even Sajid Khan was all praise for the south superstar, “I am very excited about working with Asin; not only is she a very good actor and dancer but also a superstar in the south. Our script demanded her in a new look, which will surprise the audience completely.”

Mahesh Bhupathi Weds Lara Dutta - Congratulations All Over

Tennis-star Mahesh Bhupati and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta exchanged wedding vows in Victorian style at the sunset point of the erstwhile Portuguese fort of Aguada near here on Saturday.
“We had a memorable time at the wedding. Looking forward to the rest of our lives together,” the celebrity couple said in their message after the wedding.
Bhupati, 36, and Lara, 32, had a specially decorated shamiana set up for them on the premises of a five-star hotel near the Candolim beach on the 16th century fort.
The wedding was out of bounds for the media, but sources said it was a grand affair.
Lara, a former Miss Universe, wore a white gown while Mahesh was in a black suit, the sources said.
