Ranbir Kapoor Wants To Be Part Of The Dhoom Films

Choco boy Ranbir Kapoor has expressed his desire to be part of the hit ‘Dhoom’ series. The theme of the series centres around thrill, action, bike chases, handsome thieves, smart and daring stealing plans.

After the success of ‘Dhoom’ (2004) and ‘Dhoom 2′ (2006), there has been much buzz in B-town regarding its third instalment. Actor Aamir Khan would be seen as baddie in ‘Dhoom 3′ while actors Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra would continue with their famous pair of ‘Jai’ and ‘Ali’.

“If another sequel to ‘Dhoom’ series comes after ‘Dhoom 3′ then I would love to be part of it. It is a very good franchise. Also given the fact that the script is too good, ” Ranbir said. The 28-year-old actor wants to do some action films now and build up his muscles.

“Since ‘Sawariya’ my body has been the same. I have never put on or had to lose weight anytime. For me it is difficult to build muscles because my body type is such that it loses weight easily.

“So I hope at some point of a time I get to do an action film so that I can build up my body, So that I can also look real… like if I hit the villain it should look real, ” Ranbir said. Ranbir would be seen next in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ opposite Czech-Pakistani origin model Nargis Fakri. He plays the role of rockstar Jordan.

Diya Mirza’s Crazyness For Ranbir Kapoor

Gorgeous Dia Mirza looked splendid in a golden dress during the promotional spree for her film ‘Hum Tum Aur Ghost’. The actress, who is playing the role of a high profile fashion editor, seemed hopeful about the film, which promises to be a comedy with an emotional angle to it. The lady believes that her life after winning the Miss India second runner-up crown in 2000 has been a roller-coaster ride and she has a long way to go.

In an exclusive chat with Shivangi Singh and Tanu Talwar of Spicezee.com, the actress revealed her happy-go-lucky side and also gave the meaty byte about kidnapping Ranbir Kapoor.
Q: Please tell us about your character in ‘Hum Tum Aur Ghost’?
Dia: My character in the film is very special. I am playing a high profile fashion editor named ‘Gehna’. She is a very practical woman and she is madly in love with Armaan – that’s the character played by Arshaad Warsi in the film. ‘Gehna’ has all the shades of a woman – she is jealous, naughty, adorable and giving. She is blindly in love and ready to make compromises for her lover.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who has replaced superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the brand ambassador of Pepsi and actor Hritik Roshan in ITC’s John Players, feels obliged to get the opportunity to take forward their legacy.
‘As far as replacement is concern, Shah Rukh Khan is a legend and his contribution to Pepsi was immense. I am taking forward his legacy. As far as John Players is concerned, Hritik Roshan is a style icon for whom I have immense respect. I believe that I am fortunate enough to get a chance to take his legacy forward,’ Ranbir told reporters after the logo launch of John Players at ITC Hotel here today.
Ranbir maintains that comfort should be the primary criteria while choosing clothes. ‘It’s not about wearing expensive or brands. It’s something that makes you feel comfortable. There are no strict rules. It’s about what you want to wear and how you carry it,’ said Ranbir.  ‘I am not brand conscious at all. I don’t understand fashion. God has been very kind to me that I could sign up with this brand and I hope my knowledge on fashion increases,’ said Ranbir.  As most actors do, Ranbir would try to endorse this brand in his films as well.

Ranbir Kapoor Strucks A 50 Crore Deal With UTV

The Kapoor guy Ranbir Kapoor is being tipped by producers as being the hottest likely star for 2010. The likeable young man is said to have been offered a 50cr contract by UTV. “UTV is very happy with the way Ranbir’s Wake Up Sid fared at the box office,” said a source, “His forthcoming movie Rajneeti is also with UTV and the producers have taken a liking to this young actor whom they dub as the Next Big Thing in Bollywood. So they have offered him a three-film deal worth Rs50 crore which he has apparently signed.”

Ranbir is currently filming in the US with co-starPriyanka Chopra for Anjaana Anjaani, which seems destined to be another hit romantic comedy. There is quite a long filming schedule ahead for the stars in New York.

Now officially single, Ranbir had a strange experience recently when out dining with Imran Khan. At this point, he still hadn’t shaved off his Rocket Singh beard. A precocious young woman came into the restaurant and recognising Imran immediately rushed over to his table, demanding that Ranbir, whom she didn’t recognise, take photos of her with Imran. She then returned to her table, not giving a moment‘s thought to the bearded one she‘d left behind. When her friend pointed out that the bearded guy was in fact Ranbir Kapoor, she then rushed back to the table apologising profusely and then demanded that Imran take photos of her with Ranbir. The two stars said they laughed about it afterwards.

Ranbir Kapoor & The Power Of 12 Crores

The latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is climbing the price ladder very rapidly. On looking at his popularity, producers are ready to sign him at any cost. He is hardly four films old and he has been holding the price tag of 12 crores. Director Imtiaz Ali has signed Ranbir for a whopping amount of 12 crores.
An industry source notes, “Ranbir is already in the Top Ten bracket. He is outdoing himself with every new film  and his fan base is increasing with every passing day”. He was paid 50 lakhs for ‘Saawariya’ and 5 crores for “Bachna Ae Haseeno“. For the new film, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, Ranbir Kapoor has been paid Rs 8 crore.
His recent two releases, ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, did a roaring business all over. “Now Kapoor has signed Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision’s next to be directed by Imtiaz Ali for Rs 12 crores.
Ranbir has wanted to work with Imtiaz and would’ve readily signed the film for a far lesser amount. But he is being offered big money, so why should be refuse?,” asked a trade pundit.

Ranbir Kapoor’s First Love Was His 2nd Standard School Teacher

It might come as a surprise to all of you but the fact is that Ranbir Kapoor’s first crush in life was his schoolteacher. Ranbir smilingly states in this regards, “I have had many crushes in life and my first crush was my second standard school teacher. Maybe because she was the first woman in my life after my mother who pampered me and loved me just the way my mom did. I used to secretly adore her.”
However, now the actor confesses that his perspective towards looking at love has changed a lot. “Love is defined in my ways. I don’t know how you look at love. Love has different meanings for me,” he says.
Well now high on the success of his last two films the actor is now looking forward to ‘Rajniti’ and ‘Anjaana Anjaani’. Yet the actor says that his first film Saawariya will always remain special for him. “I did the film two years back. Though it was a disaster I learnt how to act and I learnt all about cinema through Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The sizzling actress Deepika Padukone doesn’t have any mega New Year celebrations plans this time around. She wants to spend some quiet and peaceful time. Not the ‘lonesome tonight’ kinda moment. Don’t worry… the gal might be hurting, but the Dee we know, is one helluva high-spirited gal. She wants to ring in the New Year, with her family and a few close friends.

Ranbir Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra Lock Their Lips

The chocolate hero is melting a lot these days. The latest heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has locked his lips with Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani. The kissing scene for the Siddharth Anand directed movie was recently shot during the its Bangkok schedule. Although Ranbir and Priyanka are pairing for the first time their on-screen chemistry is amazing. A source on the sets reveals that the two star interacted and partied together before the scene was shot. Both of them also did lot of readings for their romantic scenes.
Siddharth Anand making Ranbir kiss in the movie was quite obvious after the director made him kiss three ladies in their last movie together. Ranbir had locked lips with Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Even though Ranbir and Priyanka have shot one kissing scene another one might be on the cards. ranbir impresses as rocket sing

Rocket Singh-Salesman of the Year released in the theaters on Friday and going by initial reactions the film seems to bang on target. Ranbir Singh who plays the Sikh Harpreet Singh has done an excellent job and the film is worth a watch for the actor.

The team which had written and directed Chak De India has come up with this film for the Yash Raj Productions and they have done an excellent job again. Despite the commercial elements in the film the film is close to reality and the entire presentation is down to earth.

On-the-whole Rocket Singh despite its predictability is worth a watch.
