Here Comes Aryan Khan - King Khan Junior

Our sources have it that son Aryan is all set to work with his superstar father Shah Rukh Khan. The filmdom is flooded with celebrity children following the footsteps of their parents and carrying forward their legacy. Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor etc are already ruling the industry. And the latest kid in town, Aryan, who made his big screen debut in Karan Johar`s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, seems to be working towards taking up the mantle of his father.

According to reports, a leading filmmaker has approached Shah Rukh Khan and requested him to let his son Aryan act in his movie. The movie is about the relationship of father-son duo. Shah Rukh would play the father trying to deal with the ordeals faced by his teenaged son.
The film would show gender gap and the differing perspective of the father and the son. Shah Rukh has yet to respond to the filmmaker’s suggestion.
Well, we just hope that Aryan carries forward the King Khan phenomenon!

Salman Khan Settles For Kangana Instead Of Katrina

Salman Khan will soon be seen in action opposite Kangna Ranaut in his maiden production, to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. It seems that the year 2010 has been extremely favourable for Kangna as she has got a lot of films in her kitty. She is paired opposite Ajay Devgn in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’, has just signed Sanjay Dutt production’s ‘Rascals’ and is all set to act opposite Salman Khan.
Talking to a news daily, a well placed source confirmed that Salman will be playing lead opposite Kangna in a Mahesh Manjrekar film. However, instead of casting Katrina Kaif, Salman has finally settled for Kangna.
Speaking about Salman’s preference for Kangna, the source said, “Salman and Manjrekar wanted someone who could emote very strongly and look glamorous too.”
Meanwhile, when contacted Mahesh Manjrekar, the director confirmed the reports and said, “The film will have a lot of elements. It will be a hard-hitting film with its fair share of comedy,”

Neil & Deepika’s Smooch In Lafangey Parindey

Neil Nitin Mukesh had to kiss Deepika Padukone on screen for their forthcoming film Lafange Parindey and the actor reportedly got cold feet. Not because he’s a virgin screen-kisser and, well, Deepika has the experience of kissing Saif Ali Khan before camera for Love Aaj Kal… but, apparently, because Neil’s had a no-kiss policy in all his films so far.
His first director Sriram Raghavan had thrown a fit when Neil refused to kiss Rimi Sen. In his second film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, director Sudhir Mishra insisted Neil kiss Shahana Goswami. But the actor refused. Even in Jail where there was a love-making scene with Mughda Godse, Neil refused to kiss the sultry actress. But Lafange Parindey director Pradeep Sarkar pulled the plug on Neil’s chastity vow.
A source from the set said it was a long, torrid smooch comparable in intensity and duration to the Aamir Khan-Karisma Kapoor kiss in Raja Hindustani. And Neil was nervous! To be kissing the lovely Deepika! Makes us wonder.

Prachi Desai Has Become Bold

Hey friends ! Shy girl with girl next door image, Prachi Desai has gone bold for Milan Luthria’s forthcoming film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’. It is believed that the actress has done some intimate scenes with co-star Emraan Hashmi.

Apparently the intimate scenes have been shot very aesthetically. Prachi requested the director to keep minimal people on the sets as she was not comfortable shooting the scenes with people staring with eyes wide open. Interestingly, Prachi had refused to do a smooch scene with Tusshar Kapoor during ‘Life Partner’ but it seems the girl is now bored with her shy-coy image with ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’.
Prachi informs that she was aware of the bed scene in the film and had no qualms. It is also believed that though there are a few love making scenes in the film, Prachi didn’t indulge in onscreen smooch with Emraan, who is Bollywood’s eternal serial kisser!

In case you don’t know, Sangeeta Bijlani, ex and old girlfriend to Salman Khan has found herself questioning her marriage after her cricketing husband Mohammed Azharuddin has allegedly been frolicking in an extra marital affair. The ex-actress found herself vacating her house with her husband and moving back to Mumbai after the news broke. However, no one has a clue where Sangeeta has been residing. To everyone’s surprise, the best person to ask would be Salman Khan.
Apparently, Sangeeta has maintained a good relationship with Salman and his family even after their break up many years ago. “Not only did Sangeeta attend the music launch of Hello starring Salman, but also his birthday party at his farmhouse in Panvel last year. Azharuddin did not attend that celebration. She also attended Salman Khan’s Being Human fashion show in Mumbai. Thereafter, she has visited Salman’s house, irrespective of whether he was present or absent. Even if Salman is not home, Sangeeta has always been comfortable in his house. She has a very good relationship with Salman’s parents, Salim and Salma Khan, and is exceptionally close to his sisters, Alvira and Arpita,” claimed a close source to the family.

Salman Khan is known for guiding and helping his actresses when is comes to films and career. Interestingly, the actor’s has found a new muse in the form of his ‘Veer’ co star Zarine Khan.
After motivating and guiding her to loose weight, it seems Salman is also helping her to take steps carefully up the Bollywood career. It can be recalled that Zarine accompanied Salman Khan for Aamir Khan’s Bollywood bash for Argentina musician Gustavo Sanataolla. Recently, Zarine also performed with Salman at IIFA.

Sonam Kapoor In Ben Stiller’s Next !

Anil Kapoor made quite an impression post Slumdog Millionaire, and now Sonam Kapoor has caught the eye of none other than Ben Stiller. While in Los Angeles, Anil met Stiller to discuss ideas for a joint production company. He had also talked about his co-production Aisha.
When Stiller saw the film, he immediately called up Anil expressing his desire to cast Sonam for his film 30 Minutes Or Less, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Danny Mc Bride. However, things look difficult because of Sonam’s prior commitments. She is already shooting for Mausam and Thank You, and promoting Aisha.
But possibilities are being worked out so that Sonam can do the film. And even while dates are being discussed with Stiller, Sonam got yet another offer from the west – from Edoardo Ponti, the son of Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti. He’s announced his project, Das, which will be shot in India.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khatta Meetha’ Gets Mixed Response

Superstar Akshay Kumar starrer Khatta Meetha has had a sweet-sour effect on the box office as the Priyadarshan helmed comedy has made single-screen audiences burst into guffaws but left the multiplex gentry asking for more.
“The overall average occupancy for Khaata Meetha over the weekend was 75 percent. Word of mouth is not that great and it is not being appreciated. Basically, it is a masses film meant only for single-screens where it is doing very well unlike in the multiplexes,” said Amit Awasthi, senior manager (Programming and Operations) of Spice Cinemas.
“Monday onwards the occupancy of the movie has fallen drastically,” he added.A source from PVR cinemas said: “The weekend was Ok and the occupancy was only 60 per cent. The content is average and the initial was not as expected as out of an Akshay Kumar movie. We hope it sustains this week. However, it is doing well in single-screens.”
