AC Milan’s star striker Ronaldinho has been named World Player of the Decade by prestigious British magazine World Soccer, which recently picked Barcelona’s Lionel Messi as the Player of the Year.
The Brazilian forward, who was the member of the 2002 world cup winning team and 2006 Champions League with Barcelona, finished ahead of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Christiano Ronaldo in the voting determined by votes cast by the readers in the 10 annual votes between 2000 and 2009.
Barcelona, the European League champions won the team of the year and Pep Guardiola, who was just one season in charge of Barcelona won the manager of the year ahead of former Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath and Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson.
