Nayantara is getting desperate as the years roll. She has not had a block office hit is a few years. The actress has been doing many roles opposite top heroes but a hit has been eluding her.

In an effort to bring her back in the news the actress is doing many cameos and item songs. In a recent move she has signed to do an item number in the upcoming Tamil film Mappillai which has Danush as the hero.

Apparently the actress wants to be associated with a hit somehow. Her recent film in Telugu, like Anjenuyulu with Ravi Teja too was a flop. Nayan’s desperation is there for all to see.
