Why was it that after getting a break in Bollywood with the Tujhe Meri Kasam as well as the super hit film Masti, you made a move towards South film, at a time when most actress from the South were looking at signing Hindi films?
All these things were not planned at all. Things were happening just so quickly and I accepted whatever came to me as an opportunity. Initially, when I entered Bollywood, unfortunately it didn't work out too well for me in comparison to the way things have shaped up today. So at that time, I didn't see anything wrong in turning towards South films.
You are making a comeback of sorts in Bollywood, with two consecutive big releases, how did that happen?
Well, honestly even I am not aware how exactly things turned out this way. Things just happened and I always look at the opportunity in front of me and never made any plans as in what to do next. I had two scripts in my hands; in both of them I had different shades so I accepted them. Things went on smoothly from there and now I have two films releasing simultaneously.
You mentioned that both scripts offered you different shades to your characters, can you brief us a bit about that?
In Jaane Tu, I am playing a not so mature college girl whereas and in Mere Baap Pehle Aap my character is a naughty but yet mature girl. I can't disclose much about either role so you will have to watch the movie to know more.
You have worked with a debutant, Imran, as well as an establish actor, Akshaye, at the same time did you feel any differences while working with them?
Not really; they are both superb actors and full of talent. No difference while working with them in that sense. After all, acting is acting and you have to do it with anyone in front of you; then only will you be a good actor. So I don't think there was much of a difference because both are very very talented.
How was it working with Akshaye Khanna and Paresh Rawal?
Well I first need to say that they are superb as human beings. We had fun all the time while working on sets. We had fun throughout the making of the film but I also learnt a lot from them and the whole experience was fantastic.
You are also doing few more films like It's Rocking with Harman Baweja and Life Partner which was announced just a few days back?
Yes I am doing these films but let's talk about it during a time when I will give you an interview for the same. Right now it's too early to talk about it either of these films
So with hands full with Bollywood films, are you planning to say 'good bye' to Tollywood?
Not yet decided and I have no plans as such but let's see what happens. Let us all, including me, wait and watch what is next in line as I really can't predict anything right now.
